I say this with enormous love and also with the confidence of someone who has watched very well-intentioned people positive-think themselves absolutely nowhere for years while wondering why their vision board isn't working. I was also one of them!
Positive thinking is fabulous, but it has its place. I am not against it but if you are trying to use positive thinking to override a low frequency that is stored in your body at a cellular level, you are essentially trying to fix a plumbing problem with a nice attitude. The attitude is appreciated but those pipes are still leaking.
Trust me, I know how that feels. I was always thinking positive regardless how crappy I felt, just to get through the day. I later learned this is positive toxicity. I didn't even know such a thing exists. Leave it to the scientists to figure it out!

Here is what is actually happening when positive thinking doesn't work and here is what does.

This is the thing that the entire self-help industry has been getting slightly wrong for decades. The blocks that are keeping your frequency low, keeping the same patterns repeating themselves, keeping the life you want just out of reach, are not stored in your thoughts. They are stored;
In your body
In your nervous system
In your energy field at a level that thoughts simply cannot reach
You know, intellectually, that you are worthy of love and still find yourself in the same relationship pattern for the fifteenth time. You can understand, completely and clearly, why you self-sabotage with money and still continue to do it. You can have the most impressive positive morning routine in your postcode and still feel like something is sitting just below the surface that just won'twon’t go away.
That's because there is something there and it's not in your thoughts, it's in your energy field.
Albert Einstein said it perfectly. "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." Applying this specifically to positive thinking as a strategy for shifting deep energetic patterns: it is wonderful, it is not enough and if it were enough you would already be there.
You are not lacking in effort or intention, you were using the wrong tools and as Bob The Builder says “You need the right tools for the job" every single time.

Your nervous system has one job above all others and that is to keep you safe and it is extraordinarily good at this job. The problem is that it learned what safe looks like based on everything that happened to you before you were old enough to make that call yourself.
If your nervous system learned, early on, that certain things, visibility, abundance, conflict, vulnerability, love that feels easy, are unsafe, it will quietly and consistently sabotage any attempt to have them. This is not because it wants to make your life difficult but because it genuinely thinks it's protecting you.
And positive thinking cannot override a nervous system that has decided something is dangerous. You can think positive thoughts at it all day long and it will smile politely and then continue doing exactly what it has always done and you have absolutely no control over it!
What can override it is working directly at the level where the pattern is stored which is in the body, in the energy field, at a frequency level that responds to energetic work in a way it simply doesn't respond to thinking.
Muscle testing to find exactly what energy blocks are there, where they came from, whether they are yours or inherited from the family line before you, and releasing them using EBI tools and activations, these are my favourite things.
When the energy blocks are released, the nervous system updates and gets new information that the thing it was protecting you from is not actually dangerous. Only then will it stop sabotaging. Not gradually, not after months of convincing. It stops because the frequency that was generating the protective response is no longer there.
This is why the results from this work consistently surprise people. Not because they expected it not to work but because they expected it to work slowly, the way everything else has worked slowly, the way the talking and the journalling and the worksheets work slowly. But instead it works quickly because we're going directly to the energy blocks and releasing them instead of working around them politely.

I want to be clear about this. The work you've done, the self-awareness you've built, the understanding of your own patterns, none of that is wasted. All of it becomes useful when the energetic blocks that were preventing you from using them, is no longer in the way.
Think of it like this. You've been trying to drive with the handbrake on. The self-help work has been improving your driving skills which is genuinely valuable but the handbrake is still on and both you and I know until the brake is off, the skills will only get you so far.
The energetic work releases the handbrake and then everything you've already built gets to actually move.
